The Red Devon Market, Café, Bar and Restaurant has become a farm-to-table destination in the Hudson Valley. The owners, Julia and Nigel Widdowson, believe that supporting local agriculture builds a healthier local economy while ensuring the freshest, most delicious food for their customers. And Chef Sara Lukasiewicz makes it all in house — from ketchup to croissants to pasta and pâté.
Red Devon is in Bangall, a hamlet south of Stanfordville, at a site that many will remember as the former home of the James Cagney's Stage Stop Steakhouse. Transformed by a green rehab, it’s now a market/café serving breakfast, lunch, and delicious takeout food, a fabulous bar, and a lovely main dining room open for dinner. Outdoor dining on the beautiful terrace is available in the summer.
While the Red Devon is off the beaten path, we are truly 20 minutes or less from many surrounding towns and well worth the drive through the beautiful countryside!
