In less than two years, Red Devon has become one of the most popular farm-to-table restaurants in the Hudson Valley. Named Best Green Restaurant by Hudson Valley Magazine this “all-green” market-restaurant-bar has made a commitment to pursue a policy of purchasing locally, seasonally and sustainably, for the sake of our farms, our farmers and our farmland communities.
At the Red Devon we believe that the best food in the neighborhood is also grown in the neighborhood.
Owners, Julia and Nigel Widdowson, have long been active in environmental causes as well as land conservancy. They created Red Devon, in part, to showcase the seasonal and sustainably grown foods from farms in the local area. They also constructed the restaurant using the most cutting-edge, eco-conscious standards.
“From the rooftop solar hot-water system to the variable volume kitchen
exhaust to the spoons crafted from potato starch,
this is the green go-to for getting fantastically fresh food — in an environment
that is serious about progressive environmental and agricultural change.”
– Hudson Valley Magazine
